About The EdUHK Education And Social Entrepreneurs (EASE) Fund ─ the GBA Youth Entrepreneur Funding Scheme
The EdUHK Education And Social Entrepreneurs "EASE" Fund Scheme, a seed funding scheme set up by the Knowledge Transfer Sub-office (KT Sub-office) of the Education University of Hong Kong in 2018, aims to create and promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in EdUHK community; to support students and alumni to pursue their dreams and creations by starting up a sustainable venture relating to EdTech, education innovation and social innovation; and to provide a new channel to transfer EdUHK knowledge and research outcomes into real applications to benefit the society. Since 2019, the EASE Fund Scheme has been evolved as a 'platform' to cultivate innovation and entrepreneurship within EdUHK community with (i) well-structured workshops to help (potential) candidates understanding the life of entrepreneurs and determining if they would like to take the challenge; identifying what obstacles start-ups usually face and how to tackle them; and equipping those determined to start their ventures with all necessary entrepreneur skills for them to start their entrepreneur journey; and (ii) year-round consultations sessions and mentorship support for advice on turning their ideas into viable business plans, team formation, and preparation for external funding opportunities etc.
Subsidized by the Youth Development Fund (YDF), the EASE Fund Scheme 2020/21 and 2021/22 will be enhanced with the support by the Funding Scheme for Youth Entrepreneurship in the Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macao Greater Bay Area under the Home Affairs Bureau (HAB) and YDF. The enhanced EASE Fund Scheme is now renamed as "The EdUHK Education And Social Entrepreneurs (EASE) Fund ─ the GBA Youth Entrepreneur Funding Scheme" and is under YDF's "We Venture" project. Making an Appointment for Consultation
In light of the current development of the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak, by following the university's Emergency Task Force’s advice to avoid face-to-face contacts, we have decided to switch all face-to-face activities to Zoom, an online conferencing platform subscribed by the university. The concern of your safety must always come first.
During this period, our office will continue to support entrepreneurship initiatives in the university. Please don’t hesitate to seek for advice through the consultation session via the below link, or contact us via hmkwan@eduhk.hk.
