Ms Elsa L.-K. Wong, recent graduate of the Masters of Social Science in Psychology (Schools and Community Settings) programme, presented her PSY6011 Research Thesis project and follow-up study at the Online Singlehood Research Symposium, to an audience of more than 100, hosted on July 13, 2020 by the University of Toronto. Her topic was " How culturally unique is the Chinese derogatory labelling of unmarried, highly educated professional women as “Leftovers” in the marriage market?" and supervised by Dr Emma E Buchtel.
