Theme and Aims

The theme of the conference is “ Catering for Learner Diversity in PE ” . It is intended to cater for the target participants of 800 PE teachers. The conference aims at providing PE teachers' key conceptual framework of catering learner diversity and practical ways of how learners’ diversity can be catered in the field of PE. Two PE scholars including one from abroad and one local practitioner will be invited. The following objectives are formulated for helping PE teachers:

a/ To share with local and foreign experts concerning issues, theories, experience and practices in PE teaching and learning for catering students with diversity with the context of Hong Kong;

b/ To make cross reference with experience and advanced knowledge concerning catering students with different learning abilities, interest and needs in PE;

c/ To build up PE teachers’ confidence in making use of the advanced knowledge and experience for improving practices of teaching for maximizing students’ learning with diversified abilities, needs and interests in schools.
