You can keep a specific user from sending messages to you. You can block their messages, or send their messages straight to a folder. Here's how to block an email address in Gmail. Gmail also automatically identifies spam and other suspicious emails and sends them to Spam.

Block specific email address or sender

When you block a sender, messages they send will go to your Spam folder.
Note: The "Block sender” function does not work for internal emails (e.g. emails from @s.eduhk.hk). Users can use "Create rules to filter your emails" instead.

  1. Logon your Gmail account on your computer.
  2. Open the email message.
  3. In the top right, click More (the 3 vertical dots).
  4. Click Block [sender].

  5. If you blocked someone by mistake, you can unblock them using the same steps.
