Excellent Supporting Teacher Award Ceremony

The third edition of the Excellent Supporting TeacherAward Ceremony was held today (16 March) at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) to recognise supporting teachers for nurturing, mentoring and inspiring the University’s prospective teachers.

Addressing the ceremony, EdUHK President Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-leung congratulated the awardees and acknowledged their contribution to enhancing the professional level of EdUHK students, and conveyed his utmost gratitude to the principals and coordinators for facilitating the University’s field experience.

“We hope that the education sector will continue to support EdUHK’s field experience, and join hands with us to nurture education professionals for the sector’s vision and sustainable development,” said Professor Cheung.

The  Excellent Supporting Teacher Nomination Scheme was established in 2014/15. This year, 238 Excellent Supporting Teachers were nominated and selected by EdUHK’s prospective teachers, 17 of whom were also nominated by school principals.
