EdUHK Council Chairman Professor Frederick Ma Si-hang presided over the 2019 Honorary Fellowship Presentation Ceremony, which was held on the Tai Po campus today (29 March).

EdUHK President Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-leung paid tribute to the Honorary Fellowship recipients for their dedication to, and excellence in, their respective fields of endeavor. “They have also won recognition for their selfless contribution to society and have become role models for the next generation, embodying the positive qualities that have been instrumental to their success and that we seek to instil in our students,” said Professor Cheung.

Professor Cheung added that the University is organising a series of celebratory events and activities for its 25th anniversary. “As a young and thriving University that focuses primarily on teacher education, EdUHK has excelled in knowledge creation, dissemination and application, through many innovative education research projects over the decades,” he said. To further enhance learning, teaching and research, Professor Cheung said the University had earmarked an additional HK$150 million for the next three years to further enhance learning, teaching and research.

The Honorary Fellowship Presentation Ceremony has been held since 2009 to recognise outstanding members of the community who have devoted their energy and talent to their roles as school principals or teachers, or exemplary leaders in various professions, business sectors and industries.
