EdUHK Welcomes First Cohort of New Entrants

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) welcomed more than 1,500 new students to its Bachelor degree and other programmes at a welcome reception today (31 August). The students are the first cohort of EdUHK entrants following the birth of the University this May.

Also joining the EdUHK family were over 750 non-local and exchange students from the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Korea, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, mainland China and Taiwan, among others.

Welcoming the new students, President Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-leung said, “This new academic year is monumental for EdUHK, and we are pleased to meet our new students in a new format. Through their formal and service learning in our multidisciplinary environment, I trust that they will become confident and competent enough to meet future challenges as education professionals and social leaders.”

The following are some snapshots of today’s reception.
