Professor Susanna Yeung is Associate Vice President (Quality Assurance) and Professor of the Department of Psychology (PS) at the University. Prior to her current appointment, she was the Associate Dean (Quality Assurance and Enhancement) of the Faculty of Education and Human Development and Associate Head (Programmes) at PS. 

 

Professor Yeung obtained a BSocSc degree, an MPhil degree in Psychology, and a doctorate specialising in educational psychology from The University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include language and reading development, reading intervention, technology-supported learning, and cognitive and social underpinning of student learning. Professor Yeung has a track record in securing competitive external grants and impact-oriented research. Recently, she has commercialised a learning kit which engages parents in Hong Kong to conduct play at home to help their children learn a second language and obtained a large research grant to develop a social robot for early language learning.
