Dr George Ngai wins PROSE finalist award from Association of American Publishers

Dr NGAI, Siu Keung George | Assistant Professor, Department of Education Policy and Leadership

Dr George Ngai’s “Sustainable School Leadership” won a 2019 PROSE Subject Category Finalist Award from the Association of American Publishers.

The award, in the category of Education Theory and Practice, was granted to only 6 publications worldwide.

Co-authored with Professor Mike Bottery and Dr Wong Ping-man, the book uncovers the dilemmas facing principals in Hong Kong and the UK. It is a much-needed book that presents the challenges characterising 21st-century school leadership. It is also the compulsory reading for Government ministers planning their next “new” policy initiative.

The PROSE Awards for Professional and Scholarly Excellence honours scholarly works and recognises publishers “who produce books, journals, and digital products of extraordinary merit that make a significant contribution to a field of study in the humanities, biological and physical sciences, reference and social sciences.”
