children's literacy and enhancing their reading abilities. The goals of reading
can be categorized into two key aspects: "learning to read" and "reading to
learn." The lesson aims to assist part-time BEd (ECE) students in analyzing
the value of picture books. Based on this understanding, students will design
thematic teaching activities that facilitate children’s transition from "learning
to read" to "reading to learn." Teaching and learning activities will include
lectures, discussions, and sharing sessions.

Personality Psychology
Topic: Behaviorism and Cognitive Perspective
Through a range of designated L&T activities (e.g., lecture, mini-Q-and-A,
group presentation and sharing) , this lecture intends to strengthen
students’ understanding of the four core attributes of Personality
Psychology—namely, structure, process, growth and development, and
psychopathology plus change— from a Behaviorist perspective. Discussions
about personality from a Cognitive perspective, i.e., Kelly’s Personal
Construct Theory, would be featured. Students would also practice how
to utilize some of the theories/concepts taught to analyze formation
of one’s personality characteristic(s).
