Topic: Behaviorism and Cognitive Perspective

Through a range of designated L&T activities (e.g., lecture, mini-Q-and-A, group presentation and sharing) , this lecture intends to strengthen students’ understanding of the four core attributes of Personality Psychology—namely, structure, process, growth and development, and psychopathology plus change— from a Behaviorist perspective. Discussions about personality from a Cognitive perspective, i.e., Kelly’s Personal Construct Theory, would be featured. Students would also practice how to utilize some of the theories/concepts taught to analyze formation of one’s personality characteristic(s).
