Learning Technologies Corner
Converted from an open discussion area, the Learning Technologies Corner (LTC) in the Learning Commons located on Lower Podium of Block C is equipped with a number of iMacs and interactive white boards for free access and trial use by students.
While the Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology (LTTC) has a priority in using the venue to organize activities to promote learning technologies, student bodies and other departments/centres/units may also book the venue for other functions with the Estates Office.
When there is no scheduled activities, the venue is open for use by students and staff.
About the iMacs
- Both Mac OS X and Windows XP are installed on the iMac. You may choose either the Mac or Windows system when you power on the machine.
To do so, press and hold the 'Option' key while you press the power button, and it will bring up the boot manager. You can then choose the
desired system ('Macintosh HD' for Mac OS X or 'BootCamp' for Windows XP) by mouse or keyboard. Note that the power button is located at the back of the iMac.
- Network printing is available only on Windows XP. Please note that the iMacs are connected to the network printers in the open access area outside C-LP-21.
