On 20 August, 2025, the MA(GSE) Programme Orientation was successfully held in person, fostering engagement among 32 new students. Each freshman received a set of welcoming gifts to mark the start of their academic journey. To accommodate those unable to attend due to prior commitments or travel constraints, a video recording and presentation slides were made available online.
Following the Faculty’s welcome video, Dr Tina Gao Fang, the Programme Leader, warmly welcomed the cohort, sharing essential programme details. Ms Leung Yuk Tin Yvette and Dr Li Puni Polly, members of the 2025-26 MA(GSE) Teaching Team, introduced themselves and offered previews of their courses. The event was further enriched by briefings from representatives of the Library, Student Affairs Office, and Centre for Learning, Teaching, and Technology. These sessions highlighted a wealth of support services, empowering students with the tools and resources needed to thrive academically and personally.
