Workshop 1: Developing creativity through social circuit activities

Facilitator: Mr. Wong Fu Hong, Sing Yin Secondary School

The purpose of this session is to demonstrate how a newly developed physical activity, social circuit performance, can be incorporated in the secondary school PE curriculum for developing students¡¦ creativity. Different social circuit performance content and pedagogical considerations for promoting students¡¦ creativity will be shared, discussed and practiced.

 

Workshop 2: Developing creativity through students¡¦ invented games

Facilitator: Mr. Lai Hung, the Church of Christ in China Kei Long College

In this practical session, participants will work together to invent games and discuss how the idea of games making can be incorporated in the secondary school PE curriculum. Through experiencing learning process as such, learning and teaching concepts like student centered, communication and decision making etc. are shared.

 

Workshop 3: Developing creativity through adventure based activities

Facilitators: Mr. Hung Chor Ying and Mr. Yeung Chi Wan, Yan Chai Hospital Tung Chi Ying Memorial Secondary School

The workshop aims to share with participants on how adventure based activities can be used to cultivate students¡¦ creativity in secondary school physical education. Core theoretical concepts like Kolb¡¦s Experiential Learning, Challenge by Choice and Full Value Contract, respective content knowledge and pedagogical skills of planning and organizing adventure based activities will be introduced, applied and practiced.

 

Workshop 4: Developing creativity through teaching games for understanding

Facilitator: Mr. Suen Shiu Keung, Kevin- Cotton Spinners Association Secondary School

The focus of this session is the practical sharing of the application of Teaching Games for Understanding concept to structure ball games for developing students¡¦ creativity in secondary school physical education.

Primary School Session ¤p¾Ç²Õ

 

Workshop 1: Developing creativity through Do-It-Yourself activities

Facilitator : Ms Chiu Chui Lin, Shatin Methodist Primary School

The purpose of this session is to demonstrate how student-oriented learning can be used for developing students¡¦ creativity in primary school physical education. The rationale and mode of DIY will be shared, discussed and practised.

 

Workshop 2 : Developing creativity through school-based aerobic dance and rhythmic activities

Facilitators : Ms. Wong Ka Lo, Mr. Lam H o Yuen and Mr. Yu Chung Wai Ch ristian Alliance S. Y. Yeh Memorial Primary School

The session shares with participants with practical school based experience of how aerobic dance and rhythmic activities can be used as means to develop students¡¦ creativity as well as healthy and active lifestyle.

 

Workshop 3 : Application of ¡§questioning, thinking, doing and evaluating¡¨ for developing creativity

Facilitators : Mr. Chan Ngan Kwan, Mr Woo Yat Hei, Ms Wong Ka Mei and Ms Chau Sze Man, Yaumati Catholic Primary School 

This practical session aims at sharing with participants on the framework, ¡§Creativity Thinking Teaching¡¨, which involves Questioning, Thinking, Doing and Evaluating as suggested by Professor Chan Lung On. It can be applied in the primary school curriculum for developing students¡¦ creativity.

 

Workshop 4 : Developing rhythmic movement creativity through object manipulative activities

Facilitator : Ms. Au Mei Yee, Joyce, HKUGA Primary School

The purpose of this session is to demonstrate how to integrate object manipulative activities in primary PE fundamental movement curriculum for developing students¡¦ creativity. The Laban framework will be incorporated in the activities to promote students¡¦ rhythmic movement creativity.
