* 馮國東先生個人簡介

* Biography of Mr. Fung Kwok-tung

Fung Kwok-tung graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a first-class Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in 1995, majoring in music. In 1996, he was awarded the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Scholarship for Overseas Studies to further his musical studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, where he received his Master in Music degree in 1998.

After returning to Hong Kong, Fung concentrated mainly on teaching and arranging works. He has been actively involved in various music productions, recordings and often being invited to conduct different kinds of workshops. Sponsored by the Hong Kong Art Development Council, he published Hong Kong’s first a cappella song book in 2006. In the same year he founded the Contemporary A Cappella Society of Hong Kong before becoming a local ambassador of the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America in the following year.

Fung Kwok-tung is also a founding member of Gay Singers – the only a cappella group in Hong Kong with a discography to its credit - with which he has made numerous TV appearances and performed overseas.
