Library Services

Library privileges are offered to Regular Staff retired at age of 60 or above, as well as departed Regular Staff who have served the University continuously for 15 years or more.  Borrowing privileges for retired and departed long-serving staff are one category below those for serving staff of the same type.  A one-time $50 EdU Card production fee and $500 deposit will be charged for each successful application.  Please visit https://www.lib.eduhk.hk/about/policies-regulations/regulations for further details.

 

Sports Facilities

EdUHK retirees are eligible for free access to designated sports facilities during the first 12 months immediately after their retirement.  

By completing a simple registration, eligible retirees may use the following facilities free of charge at Tai Po Campus and EdUHK Sports Centre:

-  Tennis Courts, Table Tennis Room, Athletic Track and Roof Court at all times;
-  Squash Courts, Swimming Pool and Physical Fitness Rooms (eligible users only) at non-peak hours.

    (Peak hours: 12:30 to 14:00 & 17:30 to 19:00 Monday to Friday)

Authorized User of Medical Clinic

EdUHK retirees who retire on or after 1 October 2020 are eligible for visiting the on-campus Medical Clinic of the University for medical consultation after their retirement. You may apply for such authorized access by completing the relevant Application Form (https://eduhk.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_etTdQ4vbymDNUJ7) before your Last Date of Service. Webmail Service

Upon request, EdUHK retirees may be given a Google “friends” account which can be kept after retirement. The Google “friends” account can be accessed through http://www.gmail.com, and the password will be the same as the one for EdUHK’s e-mail account. The e-mail address of the “friends” account will be login_name@friends.eduhk.hk. Please send your request to helpdesk@ocio.eduhk.hk.

 

Medical Care
