Amenities & Sports Complex

The sports and recreational facilities at the Amenities and Sports Complex came into use in December 1998. The complex, located at the northern part of the campus, houses a full range of indoor and outdoor facilities for students and staff, including:

• A Sports Hall which can be used alternatively as eight badminton courts, two basketball courts, two volleyball courts, or a handball court.

• A roof top playground which can be used alternatively as two basketball courts, two volleyball courts, a netball court or a handball court.

• A Dance Room for dance, martial arts, fencing or judo practice

• One Gymnasium for gymnastic training, dance, martial arts, fencing or judo practice

• A Physical Fitness Room

• Four Squash Courts

• An indoor Sport Climbing Gymnasium

• A Table Tennis Room with eight tables

• An Indoor 25 meter Swimming Pool

• An Outdoor 50 meter Swimming Pool

• An Artificial Turf Soccer Pitch

• An Outdoor Basketball Court

• Four Tennis Courts

The EdUHK Sports Centre

The sports and recreational facilities at the Pak Shek Kok Sports Center came into use in November 2000. The complex, located at Pak Shek Kok, houses outdoor facilities for students and staff, including:

。 A 400 meter Track

。 A Grass Soccer Pitch

。 An Artificial Turf Soccer Pitch

。 Five Tennis Courts

。 A Physical Fitness Room

。 A Challenge Course

Human Performance Laboratory

The Human Performance Laboratory of the Department of Health and Physical Education is located in the Block E of Tai Po Main Campus. It consists of two laboratories. The total gross area is about 3,000 sq. feet. In order to support teaching and research in physical education and sports science, the laboratory equipped with the most up-dated and sophisticated equipment in the area of exercise physiology, sports biomechanics and sports psychology.


 

Mobile Lab

The Mobile Lab is established under the auspices of the Hong Kong Rugby Union to facilitate in situ measurements for research.

Visit our Mobile Lab Equipment page now for a comprehensive display of our extensive collection of equipment, which is available for loan to the departmental staff and students.
