Sharing of Research & Publication Experience cum Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration for RPg and EdD students will be held on 17 September 2021 (Friday). You are cordially invited to join the event in which you can mingle with fellow doctoral students. During the gathering, you will also have a chance to meet with the Dean of Graduate School to share your postgraduate study journey in EdUHK.

Mooncake (take away) will be prepared for all participants.

For those who are interested, please register here on or before 4 pm, 10 September 2021 (Monday). Due to the limited capacity of the venue, seats will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

A Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration for MEd students will be held on 20 September 2021 (Monday). You are cordially invited to join the event in which you can mingle with fellow MEd students. During the gathering, you will also have a chance to meet with the Dean of Graduate School and the MEd Programme Director to share your postgraduate study journey in EdUHK.

Writing Competition

“Strategies for Improving Academic Environment and Intellectual Climate for Research Students

 

The Graduate School (GS) values very much the involvement of our research students in the broader academic environment. We would love to hear from our students:

  • perspectives and insights on what a supportive research environment should be
  • suggestions on achievable strategies to improve the overall research climate

 

Eligibility

  • The competition is open to all current EdUHK RPg and EdD students.

Essay requirements

  • Essay submissions must be original and unpublished
  • The essays must be written in English
  • Only one essay could be submitted by each contestant
  • The essay should be between 1,000 and 1,500 words long, double-spaced
  • Use 12-point font (Times New Roman)

Purpose

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition, aims to develop the academic, presentation and research communication skills of all participants. It is a competition that challenges our Research Postgraduate (RPg) and Doctor of Education (EdD) students to explain their research within three minutes to a general audience.

Come challenge yourself if you think you are able to explain your research in simple terms and share with the public within THREE minutes!
