The degree of Doctor of Education (EdD) in Health Studies emphasizes the development of advanced competencies  in  conducting  medical  and  health  related  research.  The  programme  aims  to  develop student competencies in formulationg informed decisions and strategies to address management and policy issues in health-related settings, and, by doing so, prepare graduates for leadership roles in health promotion and health care education. Graduates  will  be  able  to  integrate  theory,  research  and practice in making recommendations in lifestyle changes at the personal and the community level.
