ECE team Sensor-tivity took home a coveted Merit award at this year's Family Game Design Awards. The team, made up of Year 5 ECE student Li Yan Wing Yoyo, and ECE alumnus Kris Lai, designed 2 family games to stimulate the sensory development of babies from birth to 12 months. The game teaches parents how to make a baby gym by using simple household materials.
“We designed a sensory game, as it is important for infant brain development. We were surprised to receive the award as other awardees are parents who have first-hand experience in playing with their children,” Yoyo said. “I learnt communication skills with parents in my study which gave me some ideas in designing the game.”
The competition was organized by the Tsung Tsin Mission of Hong Kong Social Service.
