Counselling practicum is a significant event in counseling training. Students are required to complete a 108-hour practicum, including 80-hour direct counselling contact, 8-hour individual supervision, and 20-hour group supervision. Counsellor trainees are expected to fulfill certain required tasks, like individual counseling and group therapy works, during the counseling practicum. While performing all required tasks, trainees are interacting with other people in the school and community environment. It is evident that individual disposition, relationships and society ethos are interrelated and impacts upon the counselor trainees while they are learning the role of counselor.
