Child and Adolescent Counselling 

This course provides specialized knowledge and skills training in counselling children and adolescents with mental health problems and special educational needs (SEN). The course puts the focus on specific diagnostic classifications pertinent to children and adolescents and covers clinical symptomatology, course and prognosis, familial patterns as well as influences. Students will be equipped with evidence-based effective strategies and techniques to meet the needs of counseling children and adolescents. Selected counselling approaches, such as play-based intervention, behavioral therapy, reality therapy, emotion-focused therapy (EFT), and narrative therapy will be examined.
