3. ECE Elective Studies Strand

Students are required to take four compulsory courses and one elective course from the elective area of Diverse Needs unless training in Special Child Care Work recognized by the Social Welfare Department has been acquired.  Otherwise, students are required to take five elective courses out of the seven elective areas/streams whereas the five elective courses must come from at least two elective areas.  For students who opt for the Diverse Needs elective area, they will take four compulsory courses and one elective course from other elective areas/streams.
