Thesis I and Thesis II
This two-semester thesis course provides graduate students with a structured and intellectually rigorous framework to design and execute an independent research project in educational counselling. Drawing on prior academic and professional foundations, students will identify a research-worthy problem, formulate a clear and focused question, and apply appropriate methodologies to investigate issues related to counselling children and adolescents with Special Education Needs or mental health needs in schools or community settings. Under the supervision of an academic advisor, students will engage in critical literature review, data collection and analysis, and scholarly writing to produce a thesis that demonstrates originality, methodological soundness, and relevance to counselling practice. The course aims to cultivate advanced research competencies and foster evidence-informed contributions to policy, equity, and innovation in educational counselling.
