Q1.    Where is the Estates Office and How can I get the information about EO?
A1.   The Estates Office is located at Room 1, 2/F of Cho Kwai Chee Foundation Building. Security Control Centre is located at Room 1, G/F of the same building (just right beside the staircases). You can get more information by visiting www.eduhk.hk/eo or EO Corner in the intranet
Q2.    How can I make enquiries and requests for the services of the Estates Office?
A2.   For enquiries, you may call 2948 6714 or 2948 6269 or send email to wmeo@eduhk.hk.  For request of services, please complete the relevant request forms as indicated in the EO Corner of the portal, and return them to the Estates Office for action.
Q3.    What can I do if the service requested is very urgent?
A3.   You can contact the responsible staff direct during office hours, and return the relevant service request forms to the Estates Office later.
Q4.    What can I do if I need immediate assistance from the Estates Office during non-office hours?
A4.   You can contact the security staff at 2948 8002 or ext 8002 during non-office hours.
Q5.    In case of emergence, how can I ask for assistance?
A5.   You can:
       - call 2948 8000 or ext 8000, or
       - press the white button of the aiphones installed in the public areas of the campus, and talk to the security staff.
Q6.    What if I drive and is there any carpark provided by EO? Do I have to pay for the parking charges?
A6.   
  • Carparking facilities are only available for staff (free), part-time students ($100/academic year) and in-service teachers attending short-term course ($400/course)
  • Other students is allowed to use hourly parking at covered carpark of CCKF Building during specific hours.
  • Please fill in the relevant application forms for Parking Permit available at EO Corner of the portal and return to EO Office with a copy of the Vehicle Registration Document and a cheque for payment (if applicable)
  • Except Senior Staff Quarters carpark (unless he is also a resident) and several designated parking spaces on Block A covered carpark, successful applicants could park their vehicles on the carpark on a first-come-first-served basis.
    Staff: all floors of Block A carpark and outdoor carpark beside the roundabout near JCSQ;
    Visitors / Non-staff: LG3 of Block A carpark and outdoor carpark 
  • A parking label will be issued to the successful applicant which MUST BE DISPLAYED on the windscreen of the vehicle 
  • NO OVERNIGHT PARKING (i.e. after 00:00) is allowed on campus unless with prior approval and such application should be made through the portal.
Q7.    What are the operating hours of the air-conditioning system on the Tai Po campus?
A7.   The normal operating hours of the air-conditioning system in offices, general teaching rooms and lecture theatres of different buildings are as follows:

Q8.    What can I do if I wish to extend the operating hours of the air-conditioning system?
A8.   You are requested to complete the form, 'Request for Extension of Air-conditioning Hours(Academic/Administrative Office)/(Departmental Rooms)', and to return to the Estates Office normally no less than one working day in advance of the day of use.
Q9.    How can I apply for the use of public area of the University?
A9.   You are requested to complete the form, 'Application for Use of the Central Plaza and Other Common Areas', and to return to the Estates Office normally no less than five working days in advance of the day of use.
Q10.   What are the transportation services and its fare?
A10.   Currently, the University operates U Shuttle, Staff Bus, Student Bus and two intra-campus Shuttle to Tseung Kwan O Study Centre and Pak Shek Kok Study Centre.  For schedules and fares, please visit: www.eduhk.hk/transportation
Q11.   Are there any official cars provided by EO and under what circumstances can I book the official cars?
A11.   Official cars comprising 5-seat to 7-seat private cars, a 28-seat coach and a lorry are provided for UGC function/activities involving picking up of guests/outside meeting/visit etc. on a first-come-first-served basis.  A staff may book the official cars by calling EO hotline ext. 6714 or filling in the relevant booking forms.
Q12.   Does EO supply water dispensing facilities and also the distilled water?
A12.   The water dispensing facilities inside the pantry or some offices are looked after by FO.  For the distilled water, they will have to be ordered by department themselves.
Q13.   What if I need to breastfeed my baby? Are there any facilities provided on the campus?
A13.   There is a Baby Care Room at B2-G/F-05.  Users need to pre-register with the Security Control Centre first and can subsequently reserve the room using i-booking.  At users’ request and subject to suitability of the office space, a small refrigerator might be provided for the storage of milk.
