Applications for the Early Childhood Education PhD Program at the Education University of Hong Kong are now open until December 1, 2022. The Early Childhood Department is the leading Department of Early Childhood Education (ECE) in Asia, and one of the largest in the world. Our academics come from all over the world and are both researchers and practitioners who work with local and global partners and policymakers to create impact in young children’s lives at home, in schools, and in the community.
Our students are well-supported and mentored by their advisors to be world-class scholars. The program offers a variety of networking and training activities. Students have opportunities to attend conferences, collaborate internationally, and publish widely during their term in ECE.
We support a wide range of PhD projects. Research areas include (but are not limited to) the following ten ECE fields:
