World class recognition

Our increased teaching and research capabilities, in particular in teacher education, are internationally recognised. In the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject 2019, EdUHK ranked among top 3 in Education in Asia.

An education that is more than Education

Guided by the “Education-plus” vision, our academic scope is built on (but is not limited to) the traditional strength of teacher education; and consolidated through diverse programme offerings in the Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as Creative Arts and Culture. With a multidisciplinary learning environment, students of teacher education and complementary programmes can take second majors, minors, or electives, and interact with each other across disciplines.

Learning from the great minds

99% of our academic and teaching staff hold doctoral degrees and are leading experts in their respective fields. Their academic and teaching achievements have contributed to the University’s well-established niche in Education and newly emerging strengths in multidisciplinary subject areas while continuously shaping policy discourse locally and in the region. With their research impacts in and connections with the real world, students will definitely find their learning experience rich, inspiring and relevant.
