Module Code 單元編號 GEL1008 Module Title 單元名稱 ORGANISATION OF LIFE WIDE LEARNING ACTIVITIES 全方位學習的組織 Module Synopsis 單元概要 The notion that learning experiences are not limited to classrooms and should be embodied in individuals through outreaching to diverse settings is not a new idea. Informal, together with formal education, constitutes an integral part of life-wide, life-long and life-deep experiences, as well as whole person development. Life-wide Learning (LWL) is a pedagogical strategy that aims to move learning beyond the classrooms into other contexts. This course aims to nurture the participants’ positive value on respecting and fulfiling the diverse potentials of students and competencies in designing, organizing and managing out-of-classroom learning experiences in various settings that adopt different approaches, such as co-operative learning, adventure learning and apprenticeship. The course emphasizes the experiences in participating and organizing selected activities. Experiential learning, as opposed to didactic learning, will form the basis of the learning context in the course.
