Student in this course will try to answer this question primarily by looking at the latest empirical research on optimal well-being. This course will centre around Seligman (2011) notion of human flourishing or authentic happiness, which is derived from three major experiences, i.e. experiencing happiness, engagement, and meaning. Through this course, students will be encouraged to find a rapprochement between the philosophical and scientific perspectives on flourishing. 哪些條件有助於提升人類的幸福感？學員透過本單元的學習活動，初步探索這個問題的答案，包括研討關於人類幸福感最大化的最新實證 研究。本單元聚焦於Seligman（2011）提出的提升人類幸福感的主要體驗活動：快樂、參與、意義及成就，學員透過此課程 ，幫助發展及整合關於人類幸福感的哲學觀和科學觀。
