The role of educational leaders has become more challenging than ever in the era of global educational reform and increasing accountability. To enact the changing roles of educational leaders in turbulent times, this course provides an opportunity for students to develop a critical and reflective understanding of educational change and innovation in the international, regional and local contexts. It is designed to prepare current and future educational leaders for today’s and tomorrow’s organizations across all educational sectors. This course comprises three major themes, namely, leadership theories for change and innovation; leadership competences for educational change and innovation; and contextualizing theories/models in practice. Students will be encouraged to examine leadership and management theories and theoretical models for change and innovation, identify major contextual and ethical issues on leadership implementation, and explore educational leaders’ competences for leading change and innovation. Students will have an opportunity to explore an area of interest and contextualize leadership through undertaking a small-scale practitioner research inquiry, leading to evidence-based innovation and scholarly knowledge enhancement. 在全球教育改革及問責日益加劇的時代,教育領袖的角色變得比以往更具挑戰性。為了在動盪時期實踐教育領袖的轉變角色,本科目為學 生提供機會,讓他們從國際、區域及本地層面,發展對教育變革與創新的明辨性思考和反思理解。本課程旨在為現職及未來的教育領袖, 預備他們應對當今及未來各教育層面的機構。本科目涵蓋三大主題,包括:變革與創新領導理論;教育變革與創新領導能力;以及將理論 /模式情境化於實踐。學生將被鼓勵探討有關變革與創新的領導及管理理論和理論模型,識別領導實踐中的主要情境及倫理議題,並探索 教育領袖在推動變革與創新時所需的能力。學生亦有機會選擇感興趣的範疇,透過小型實踐者研究,將領導理論情境化,從而促進以實證 為本的創新和學術知識提升。 |
