This course introduces students to the idea of policy communities where various stakeholders are involved in policy-making processes to drive innovation in education. By focusing on the creation and management of these communities, the course prepares students to foster cross-sector partnerships, engage in systems thinking, and lead initiatives that address pressing educational challenges. Students will examine how to create and sustain innovative practices by leveraging teamwork, cross-organisational collaboration, and external engagement. The course will also discuss how societal and cultural contexts influence the structure, practices, and leadership of policy communities of innovation.
