In this course, students will explore the fundamentals of policy analysis, examine common data sources that inform education policy-making, and learn rigorous approaches for policy evaluation. The course also addresses policy issues across different levels of education governance, as well as how these issues are situated in and interact with local, regional, and global contexts. Students will analyse the dynamics of power, equity, and accountability in education governance while critically evaluating policies through case studies from diverse settings. By bridging theory and practice, this course equips students with the tools and knowledge needed to understand and address contemporary challenges in education policy and governance.
