COLLABORATIVE PARTNERSHIPS IN EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING |
Module Synopsis 單元概要 |
Collaborative partnership has grown into a highly valued practice in education and other sectors. Usually driven by specific needs or availability of project-based funding, partnerships can be routine, short-term, not fully developed or well-integrated as part of school or professional capacity. Good collaborative partnerships in experiential learning need to be intentional, achieving not only the intended outcomes, but also contributing to the transformation of social capital accumulated in the community for sustainable relationships and reciprocal benefits. This course aims to provide participants with a conceptual understanding of collaboration and equip them with essential knowledge and skills to work with a range of partners as well as to evaluate existing and potential collaboration when providing experiential learning opportunities. It guides participants to explore the ideas, processes and dynamics involved in collaborative partnerships with professionals of different organisations (e.g. NGOs, social enterprises, start-up companies, government units, cultural organisations, professional bodies, freelance providers) or sectors (public, private & voluntary spheres). This course strengthens participants’ capacity of connecting social networks for experiential learning and promotes an understanding of reciprocal relations between schools and partner agencies that benefits both sides. |
