Module Code 單元編號 EDA5067 Module Title 單元名稱 INTRODUCTION TO JUVENILE DELINQUENCY AND ITS PREVENTION 認識與預防青少年違法行為 Module Synopsis 單元概要 This course intends to explore how young people and crime has been understood. Course participants will be introduced to the nature and different contexts of juvenile delinquency, specifically in the areas of why and how delinquent behaviours occur and how various social agencies, including school and the criminal justice system, have responded to it. Participants, from both primary and secondary schools, will be encouraged to consider and assess the wider roles of the family, the media and the community in creating and preventing juvenile delinquency. In the course, particular emphasis will be put to revisit different social interaction theories in the prevention aspect of juvenile delinquency problems.
