Following the Capstone Project (I) and under close supervision, students proceed to implement the user experience design (USD) for improvement. As an iterative process, this requires on-going consultation with (1) the student’s Capstone Supervisor; and (2) relevant individuals and/or the mentor at the partner agency. The Capstone Project (II) requires the full implementation of the Capstone Project (I) proposal and the development of a written UXD report. : students will apply the core skills and knowledge they have acquired to review an existing administration or programme in a particular educational or non-profit organization, in order to make an improvement plan from the perspective of users – starting from researching user’s experiences. Further, students are required to make a formal presentation of the report with further recommendations that is feasible in within the organizational contexts. Students will be organized into complementary sessions and required to formally present their Capstone Project (II) report. This will include: Presentation of the final written report, including an how/to what extent user experiences have been improved, its implication for executive management in organization and/or program implementation, reflection on the meaning of “improvement” in terms of efficiency, effectiveness, enjoyment, ethics and social values; list of recommendations etc; Short-verbal presentation (15-20 mins) in order to demonstrate problem definition, analysis, public speaking, presentation and advocacy skills; A short Q and A session This course is designed to simulate and improve the work of executive management and/or programme development and management in the real world and requires students to be able to present findings in a persuasive and professional manner. |
