The key principles guiding curriculum development include fostering children's overall development, promoting children’s construction of meaning, facilitating learning through interactions, enhancing learning through playful experiences and facilitating continuity in learning from early childhood to primary schools. In this course, students will be challenged to reflect on the early childhood curriculum in problem-based learning contexts. The importance of the socio-cultural dimension of curriculum in ECE will be discussed.
