Importantly, variations in normative family practices across cultures will be discussed, particularly in relation to the cultural traditions and immediate demands of particular social contexts. Moreover, risk and resilience factors, nested within families of different characteristics and with children of different developmental stages, will be examined. Then, a range of adult learning theories and the parents as adult learners will be discussed. Finally, techniques for delivering talks, organizing courses, conducting support groups, and technology applications related to family life and family education will be introduced.
