Policy, nevertheless, is seldom understood in a holistic manner (both macro and micro perspectives) and from a critical orientation. While many fundamental assumptions about children, childhood, family, and early childhood institution have not been questioned during policy debates, the roles of early childhood educators (whether teachers, administrators, or others) in shaping and influencing policy have been minimally emphasized. This course offers an introduction to policy analysis in ECE.
