Module Code 單元編號 ECE4266 Module Title 單元名稱 HONOURS PROJECT I: RESEARCH METHODS & PROPOSAL IN EARLY CHILDHOOD AND FAMILY STUDIES Module Synopsis 單元概要 This course provides opportunities for students to understand the basic research methods used in early childhood and family studies. Both quantitative and qualitative approaches will be introduced with a critical reflection on their strengths and shortcomings. Students are expected to acquire the basic skills for conducting a research-based project that is significant, innovative, and practical, including identifying a research topic, conducting a literature review, adopting appropriate methods of collecting and analysing data, and writing a proper honours project proposal. The honours project is expected to transfer knowledge to wider academic/scholarly community.
