It prepares students to develop and implement a creative curriculum promoting young children’s physical play and fitness. It introduces relevant educational values, concepts and principles pertaining to physical play and fitness in preschool settings. Also, it covers the assessment methods of children’s play and fitness. The application of content knowledge and fundamental motor skills in designing and evaluating developmentally appropriate physical play will be emphasized.
