Module Code 單元編號 CSL1027 Module Title 單元名稱 ENRICHING ENGLISH-LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS IN HONG KONG SCHOOLS 改善香港學校英文學習環境 Module Synopsis 單元概要 This course aims to equip students with knowledge and strategies pertinent to enriching the English-learning environments in primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong. Situations and practices in the Greater Bay Area and global contexts will also be considered and compared with those in Hong Kong. Students will reflect on their own English language learning strategies, discuss the key principles for effective English learning and experience activities and strategies, such as, learning English through English songs and games, senses and movements, task-based language learning, graded reading, English drama, and English public speaking. They will then be given opportunities to apply these principles and strategies to design, develop, organise and lead tailor-made extracurricular programme(s) in schools to enrich their English-learning environments.
