The Quiet Room was established by the Centre for Religious and Spirituality Education in 2006. It was the first of its kind among Hong Kong tertiary institutions.


A Space to Nourish the Spirit

With adjustable lighting and acoustic insulation, the Quiet Room is specially designed for religious or spiritual activities. Mattresses and cushions are provided.
The Quiet Room is adjacent to a garden with a pond, making the serene environment suitable for quiet activities. Users may invite facilitators through the Centre to lead religious or spiritual activities.


Target Users

  • Staff and students of EdUHK
  • Participants of events organized or co-organized by the Centre
  • Hiring organizations*
    Organizaions interested in using the Quiet Room may submit applications to the Centre.

Opening Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m


Use of the Room

Individual Use
User must check in by placing his/her student card or staff card on the Access Control Reader installed outside the room.

Group Use
Booking can be made 3 days in advance via the CRSE office. The booking must be made in the name of a department, an academic or administrative unit
student body. Each group can book a maximum of 2 sessions (1 hour per session). Reservations will be taken on a first-come-first-served basis.
