Project Introduction

This is a 3-year Programme and aims at:

  • Developing a framework for Life and Character Leaders under T-standard and EdUHK graduate attributes;
  • In accordance with the above framework, as well as take into account of the characteristics of the millennial generation, development of a pilot programme through engaging both internal and external collaborators to provide meaningful learning experiences to cultivate Life and Character Leaders;
  • Development and implementation of Life and Character Leadership mentoring system so as to assist the participants in the pilot programme to consolidate their learning experiences from time to time;
  • Evaluation of the effectiveness of the programme and dissemination of good practices in academic conferences (through conference papers) as well as professional sharing.
  • (Expected) Outcome

  • A framework for nurturing Life and Character Leaders among EdUHK students (pre-service and in-service teachers)
  • 90 participants engaged in the pilot programme and mentorship scheme with no less than 50 hours of experiential learning, service-learning and mentorship activities;
  • A set of assessment tools for evaluation of the effectiveness of the entire project in both student and programme level
  • Complete three papers in preparation for academic conferences with the participation of EdUHK students (Pre-service and In-service teachers)
  • Organization of three professional workshops for sharing of good experiences in nurturing Life and Character Leaders, with the participation of EdUHK students (Pre-service and In-service teachers)
  • Pilot Programme and Mentorship Scheme

    Pre-service teachers engaged in experiential learning, service-learning and mentorship activities.

    Service-learning allows pre-teachers to interact with students and gained experience.
