In Search of Meaningful Integration: The Experiences of Developing Integrated Science Curriculum in Junior Secondary Schools in China.

Abstract:
This speech is about the process of developing integrated science curriculum at junior secondary schools in the mainland of China in the past twenty years. The history has witnessed two stages of developing integrated science curriculum during this period in the mainland: one was at the provincial level in the 1980/1990s while the other at the national level in the new millennium. This speech will report the results of a research study on the development of the the integrated science curriculum in the mainland during this period.
