The TVET Research Unit

The work of the TVET Research Unit is carried out through the UNEVOC Centre (Hong Kong).

The UNEVOC Centre (Hong Kong) acts as part of the United Nations mandate to promote peace, justice, equity, poverty alleviation, and greater social cohesion. It helps to develop policies and practices concerning education for the world of work and skills development for employability and citizenship, to achieve:

  • access for all;
  • high quality, relevant and effective programmes; and
  • learning opportunities throughout life.

The UNEVOC Centre (Hong Kong)  assists the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre as part of the world-wide UNEVOC Network (Flagship Programme), in:

  • Stimulating international and regional cooperation concerning human development
  • Promoting best and innovative practices in TVET
  • Knowledge sharing
  • Mobilizing expertise and resources
  • Strengthening partnerships with other relevant agencies
