Unit 13 Invitation and Social Skills 


Objectives


  1. To recognize and pronounce Cantonese words with the initials [h], [d], [g], [w], [ch];
  2. To recognize and pronounce Cantonese words with the finals [i], [ei], [a], [aan], [ou];
  3. To use simple Cantonese vocabulary and expressions in invitation and social skills.

Sally: I’ve got nothing to do. How about you then?

   暫時未有,你呢?

    [jaam6 si4 mei6 yau5, nei5 ne1?]


Linda: How about going out to have dinner together?

   不如我哋一齊去食飯??

Sally: Good. Where shall we go?

Linda: No idea. Maybe I ‘ll meet you at seven o’clock outside the school entrance.
