EdUHK Creative Writing Contest 2021-2022

This year, CLE held the sixth annual Creative Writing Contest, which has been an important creative platform for students to showcase their writing and reflective skills. For this year’s contest, there was a total of 14 submissions that ranged from essays, poems to fiction and non-fiction writing pieces.

The theme for this year, Beginnings and Endings, w as inspired by the last two years of living under the unpredictable circumstances of COVID-19. Undoubtedly, the new habits and routines that we have developed to adapt with our new circumstances naturally have led to the ending of familiar chapters and the beginning of new ones. No one better than students could have experienced those beginnings and endings as their college and educational routines have drastically changed throughout the years.

The 14 submissions, together with the accompanying photos taken by the students, could reflect vividly the change of behaviour, emotions, and cognition in the pandemic.

Our warmest congratulations to the winners below:

Champion: Yung Ka Wing, Kelly

1st runner-up -- Andy Lam

2nd runner up -- Chioma Onuoha

Honorable mentions -- Chiu Ki Sang; Wu Yanxin; Liu Jiali, Law Ming Yan

Lastly, we would also like to thank all the participating students for their submissions.
