To deepen the understanding of the interdisciplinary STEM curriculum of the primary school teachers, and to strengthen their interdisciplinary STEM curriculum planning and teaching strategies, the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching organized an online workshop entitled “Fostering Interdisciplinary Pedagogy for STEM Education in Primary School of Hong Kong” via Zoom on September 18, 2021. The background and theory of interdisciplinary STEM curriculum integration were introduced to more than ninety teacher participants. Various interdisciplinary STEM models were recommended and authentic examples incorporating engineering element in the lesson design were shared. Ways to promote cross-disciplinary or interdisciplinary collaboration with STEM-specific learning mode were discussed in the workshop.
