Media Silhouette VI features laptop ensemble pieces by four artists, which experiments on the affordance of computational devices and peripheral tools for collaborative music-making. Through the interpretation by EdUHK iLOrk (www.ilork.com) members as the creative agents, these works make use of gaming controller, infra-red sensors, iPad, and MacBook as musical instruments to challenge the conventional performance practice of music ensembles with the integration of digital and media technologies.
