General Requirements (Year 1 Entry)

To be eligible for admission, applicants are expected to demonstrate a high level of performance ability in one instrument (or voice). In addition, applicants shall satisfy the following academic requirements:

Secondary 7 Graduates / Application with HKALE Qualifications

• Grade E or above in HKALE AS-Level Use of English and Chinese Language & Culture; and
• Grade E or above in at least two HKALE A-Level subjects OR one A-Level subject plus two AS-Level subjects (other than Use of English and Chinese Language & Culture)
  
  

Application with Non-HKALE Qualifications

• Holders of Associate Degree/Higher Diploma#
• Attending Year 1 of a recognized Associate Degree/Higher Diploma programme
• Non-local qualifications (e.g. GCE AL, IB Diploma)
• Mature out-of-school applicants (aged 25 or above) with sustained development of specific talents or achievement and/or related experience
  

Application on the Strength of China’s Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE) Results

• Meet the first admission line (includes additional score for Arts specialized students); or
• Meet the second admission line (includes additional score for Arts specialized students) PLUS obtain at least 70% of the full mark in the JEE (Arts – Music subject). AND
• Meet the Institute’s English Language Requirements

Applicants with qualifications such as the LRSM and FRSM of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, the LTCL and FTCL of the Trinity College London, Advanced Diploma in Music, Professional Diploma in Music or Associate Degree in Music will be considered favorably.

# Advanced Entry to BME Year 2 may be granted to eligible SCPE AD(Music) graduates upon availability of places

入學要求（一年級生）

申請人除須擅長演奏一種樂器（或聲樂），並須符合以下入學條件：

以香港高級程度會考成績申請

• 在香港高級程度會考中，考獲高級補充程度英語運用及中國語文及文化科E級或以上成績；及
• 在香港高級程度會考中，考獲最少兩科高級程度E級或以上成績；或一科高級程度及兩科高級補充程度E級或以上成績（英語運用及中國語文及文化科除外）。
  
  

以非香港高級程度會考資格申請

• 持有認可的專上學歷，例如副學士或高級文憑# ；或
• 正修讀認可的副學士首年課程；或
• 取得同等的非本地學歷，例如「普通教育文憑」考試高級程度或國際文憑課程（參閱本校網頁“http://www.ied.edu.hk/degree/non-local.htm”有關認可的非本地學歷）；或
• 於二零一一年八月三十一日或以前年滿二十五歲或以上已離校的人士，具備獨特的才能或成就，並積累了豐富經驗。

以中國高考成績資格申請

• 綜合高考成績需達一本線 (文藝特長生可獲加分)；或
• 藝術類高考生於綜合高考成績達二本線及藝術科成績達滿分之70% (文藝特長生可獲加分)
• 附合學院之英語入學要求

申請人若擁有英國皇家音樂學院聯合委員會頒發的LRSM及FRSM資格、倫敦聖三一學院的LTCL及FTCL資格、音樂深造文憑、音樂專業文憑或音樂副學士學位，將獲優先考慮。

#合資格的持續專業教育學院文學院副學士(音樂)畢業生有機會直接修讀BME 課程二年級，惟需視乎學額而定。
