Governance Report 管治報告 香港教育大學 2024-2025 年報 75 Principal Risk Themes: (4) Student Support and Development 主要風險類別:(4)學生支援與發展 Risk Statements 風險陳述 Changes in student mix, with increasing number of non-local students coupled with challenges in recruiting and retaining talents, also has an impact on effectively providing adequate and effective student support and development in view of the increasing number and diversity of students at the University. This may affect EdUHK’s ability to promote positive whole-person development, academic attainment and mental health of the students. 非本地學生數目的增加改變了學生的組成,加上在招募 和挽留人才方面所面臨的挑戰,對提供充足且有效的學 生支援與發展構成影響。尤其在學生人數增加與愈趨多 元化的情況下,這些因素可能影響教大在促進學生全人 發展、學業成就和心理健康方面的能力。 Mitigation Plans 減緩風險計劃 • Enhance adaptation support for new non-local students, such as implementation of anti-scam measures and provision of community tours, to help with their integration in Hong Kong • Expand support to non-local students with targeted career orientation, career skills training, and employer networking to enhance their understanding of Hong Kong’s employment landscape, empower them, and foster their connections for better adaptation, integration, and employability • Enhance counselling and special educational needs support by launching various mental wellness programmes, SEN-friendly activities and the SEN ambassador programme, and enrich selfhelp resources to empower students to take proactive steps in managing their mental health • Encourage students to participate in physical fitness activities and integrate exercise into their lives, build positive values and strengthen their bodies • Enhance Hall Life Education and staff training through workshops and activities that promote cultural inclusiveness, mental health awareness and conflict resolution skills among student-residents and hall management personnel • Enhance community service projects and leadership training that engage the diverse backgrounds of students • 加強對非本地新生的適應支援,包括推行防詐騙措施 及提供社區導賞,協助他們融入香港生活 • 擴大對非本地生的就業支援,提供針對性的職涯指 導、技能培訓及僱主網絡,協助他們了解香港的就業 環境及建立人脈,從而更好地適應與融入職場,提升 就業競爭力 • 加強輔導服務及支援特殊教育需要(SEN)學生,推行各 種心理健康項目,舉辦SEN友善活動與SEN大使計劃, 增加自助資源,鼓勵學生積極管理心理健康 • 鼓勵學生積極參與體能活動並將之融入日常生活中, 培養正向價值觀,促進身心健康 • 通過舉辦工作坊及活動,加強宿舍生活教育及員工培 訓,提升宿生與宿舍管理者的文化包容性、心理健康 意識與紛爭調解技巧 • 強化社區服務及領袖培訓項目,吸引不同背景的學生 參與 Risk Treatments 風險管理 • Strengthened communication and collaboration with academic units to foster student development and effectively support students in need • Strengthened peer support and arranged regular communication with the Hong Kong Police Force to offer due care and reflect on the effectiveness of measures such as anti-scam measures • Continued to collect feedback, evaluate, and adjust support services to ensure ongoing improvement • Increased manpower and financial resources aimed at providing timely and effective assistance to students in need • 加強與學術單位的溝通和協作,促進學生發展及支援 有需要的學生 • 加強朋輩支援,並與香港警務處定期溝通,提供適切 關懷及檢視防詐騙措施等成效 • 持續收集意見、評估及調整支援服務,以確保持續改 進 • 增加人手及財政資源,為有需要學生提供及時而有效 的協助
